I am addicted to my muesli oatmeal. I had another bowl this morning…this time with some almond butter
My roommate went to the Decab International Farmer’s Market over the weekend, and brought back some amazing bread!
This bread is so dense and flavorful, and makes the best sandwiches!

Avocado, spinach, roasted red pepper, Butterkase cheese from the Publix Deli (really creamy and yummy!), and oven roasted turkey.
I also got a surprise in the mail today…

A sample of Total Cranberry Crunch Cereal that I ordered a long time ago then forgot about! I found it with our mail right after I got home from running, and I immediately had to try it. The verdict? I give it an A+! I loved the dried cranberries and the oat clusters, and I always appreciate how Total cereal doesn’t seem to get soggy in milk. Another positive is that the serving size is 1 1/4 cup (for 190 calories). That is so much more satisfying than the 3/4 cup serving size on some cereals…I like volume
Side note about my run today: I told military boy from the weekend (see V-Day recap) that he could go running with me sometime if he could keep up! I don’t know why I say things like this…Today he took me up on my offer. He was able to keep up, of course, but I felt like we both got a good workout trying to impress each other with our running abilities! It was a good run. However, I was unable to convince him that he does not need to eat massive amounts of protein and that fruit and whole grains are healthy! Also, no one believes me when I tell them how many sweets I eat… They should read this blog.
Speaking of sweets, I have been snacking on these all day:

German Chocolate Cake Truffles!!!! I found this recipe on allrecipes a couple years ago, and this is the best variation we have made yet! German chocolate cake mix (prepared and crumbled) mixed with coconut pecan icing made into balls, chilled, and dipped in melted Ghirardelli 60% cacoa chips and sprinkled with coconut. These are decadent, wonderful, and incredibly satisfying!
Dinner tonight was random: bowl of Total cereal, a bowl of sliced strawberries with cinnamon (yes, I made a whole bowl…due to roommate miscommunication, we ended up all buying cartons of strawberries at the store, so we have a lot of strawberries! Not a bad thing
, but I want to eat them while they are fresh!), I also cooked up a huge plate of veggies:

Asparagus, zucchini, red pepper, onions, and spinach sauteed in olive oil, garlic salt, rosemary, and a little balsamic vinegar! YUM!!!
That’s all for today!
