I was a very bad food blogger last weekend…mainly because I couldn’t find my camera! I went to go eat sushi with a friend on Sunday, and I got this cute bento box with rice, seaweed salad, nigiri (salmon, sea bass, flounder, and tuna), a yellow tail roll, and shrimp gyoza! I was dying to take a picture of it, but I couldn’t!!! It was very hard to eat something so wonderful and not document it to share with all of you! I am officially a food blogging addict . They do the bento box deal every Sunday, so I plan to go back soon with my camera!
I have a very busy week this week, so I may not be posting a lot…I had a test today, I have a project due tomorrow, a case study due on Thursday, another test on Thursday, and a paper due on Friday! Also, I just got a new job at a Spanish tapas restaurant downtown (which I am super exited about and will talk more about their food later…), and I am working six shifts this week!
My camera is found now…thank goodness! When I got home from work, my roommate had made some red curry lentil soup from this mix:
The mix is just dried lentils with a seasoning packet. Cook with water and chicken broth for 30 minutes and…
Ta da!! This was very tasty!!! I topped my bowl with some sauteed spinach and avocado. Not sure if I’ve ever had lentil before, but I really liked them, and they are super healthy!
13 grams of protein!! I was impressed. It also has lots of vitamin A, although I’ve been going through an entire bag of baby carrots every few days, so I think I’m good on my vitamin A .
Giveaway news: Sarah at Tales of Expansion is giving away Bob Red Mill products!
Ok, that’s all for now. I’m going to go read some blogs, and then I have got to study study study!!!
