There will probably be a severe lack of posting this week as I attempt to pass all my finals to graduate THIS SATURDAY! In the past few days, I have been studying, working, studying…. and the food that I have eaten has not been very photogenic, so I have a lack of blog material right now.
There has been some procrastination in form of looking back at lots of Facebook pictures… including all of my pictures from studying abroad in Europe, which made me extremely nostalgic! This stint of procrastination also involved me enjoying some wine while chatting on Gmail Chat with my French friend I met while studying abroad. When I mentioned my glass of wine, he excitedly asked “With cheese??” Me: “No…” Him: “Chocolate??” Me: “I wish…” Him: “Nothing?” Me: “uh…I just ate a turkey and avocado sandwich..” “Him: “Ha. You Americans and your sandwiches…”
I forgot about some of the food differences over in Europe…now that I think about it, we really didn’t eat any sandwiches all summer! Snacking is also not European. If you want to be labeled as an American who eats all the time, just try suggesting eating between meals. They will make fun of you!
Anyway, I’m sharing this because my trip to Europe was where my love for taking pictures of good food began. This was way before I had ever heard of a food blog…I just wanted to document every bit of my European experience!
So here is where it all began. These are some of my favorite food pics from Europe:
I have TONS more, but I tried to pick some of the highlights. I want to go back now!!!! I’d be on the next plane if I had the $$$…
Kate from Kate’s Whole Plate tagged me in a Prom photo sharing! What a cute idea! Unfortunately, I have no prom pics with me in Athens, and my prom was pre-Facebook, so they do not live anywhere in the virtual world. I’ll ask my mom to look at home for them. If we can find them, I will be glad to share them .
