I need to print out my notes instead of looking at them online. My studying this morning has been going something like this:
“Dextrose Monohydrate has 3.4 kcal per gram…..” *New Tab* *Google Reader* “Zesty Cook: Curried Red Lentil Soup with Chickpeas and Quinoa” Wow, yum! How can I concentrate on studying feeding tube solutions when you all are posting such mouthwatering food pics?
I’m just going to do a quick post and then start studying for real!
Fun Study Snack: Banana Yogurt
- 1/2 cup vanilla Chobani
- 1 medium banana, sliced
- cinnamon
- swirl of almond butter (I found a Justin’s Maple Almond Butter packet at Earthfare!!)

Delicious! I was excited but nervous to try the Justin’s Almond Butter….I love my almond butter from TJ’s whose only ingredient is roasted almonds, and I was afraid the packet of Justin’s might taste Barney Butter, which I recently tried and was not impressed. Barney Butter just doesn’t taste like almond butter at all!! It tastes exactly like peanut butter…bleh! I love most nuts, but I have always has a very strong dislike for peanuts and peanut butter. However, Justin’s Maple Almond Butter was different. It tastes like very fresh, slightly sweet, mapley almonds
. I loved it!
Also, I found this interesting article on Slate about the cost of making vs. buying certain foods. I think I’m convinced that I need to try to make homemade yogurt! This should be an interesting experiment. I also found a bunch of yogurt recipes on New York Times that I am super excited to try out! Has anyone ever tried making homemade yogurt before? Or what do you like to make from scratch that you think is cheaper/better than store bought??
