I can't curve the corners of my mouth up yet...
Yesterday, I decided to try not to take as much pain medication so that I could get up off the couch. My pain meds feel great, but they knock me out! I made some iced coffee instead and felt alert for the first time in 24 hours. This allowed me to do things like shower and walk around.

I love my ice pack, and I love iced coffee
By the end of the day, I was in a lot of pain, and advil and ice were just not enough. I caved in went back to the pain meds and ate a sampling of all the different ice creams that family and neighbors have been kind enough to bring over!
Once the pain meds started kicking in, I started feeling hungry for real food and overconfident in my chewing abilities.
Crackers were a bad choice.
With my medication worn off and my gums traumatized from munching on crackers, I woke up this morning at 7:30 AM in the worst pain I have felt since my surgery. I took some more pain meds, curled up on the couch with my ice pack, and vowed not to even think about eating anything crunchy!
Lunch was a delicious creation— a spinach omelet with pureed black bean soup topped with fresh tomatoes (from our backyard!) and sour cream.

I would definitely make this again even when I can eat like a normal person again
. The black bean soup puree was a filling, healthy, and flavorful substitute for cheese in an omelet. I highly recommend it.
I’m starting to get very tired, so I think its time for a siesta…. Mom is making me a special vegan soft food dessert, so stay tuned for my next post!

Chipmunk cheeks and all, you’re still super adorable!! Can’t wait to see the vegan soft food dessert.
You poor thing! You still look cute with the chipmunk cheeks though
I love the sounds of that omelette filling – genius with the soup!
Very creative!! At least you can still enjoy some tasty foods, right?! I don’t remember being in that much pain when I got my wisdom teeth pulled, maybe I was just lucky, I dunno. Either way, I’m glad it’s getting better each day, and you still look gorgeous as a chipmunk!
Wishing you a speedy recovery!
Aww, hope you feel better soon! Having your wisdom teeth out is no fun. I remember going crazy when I woke up after the surgery..the pain meds definitely made me looooopy.
youre the cutest chipmunked cheeked girl ever
hope they feel better and the swelling goes down soon!!
